Anyone know of a good ebay or craigslist seller? A professional. I got a ton of stuff that needs to go, but some of it is nice stuff and isnt yard sale material...

He was in somebody's BNI group that I knew. Not sure if he's still there tho.

Good Luck girl, I'm doing the same thing. I'm sick of having so much STUFF that we don't need.

I've spent the last couple days putting things on ebay. No professional but it is quite easy; same with craigslist.

My complaint about craigslist is that I get many emails asking if I would take 1/3 of what I ask. I usually ask about 1/2 of what it is worth so cutting that by 2/3 is just dumb to ask.

How do you decide how much to ask for it? Do you search for similar items on the web, then price accordingly? I have some nice things that I'd like to post on Craigslist or E-Bay.

I've done this for a few people and have had quite a bit of luck. I'd be glad to come take a look at what you have and discuss a price to do it for you.

For the most part I look at what it is selling for on Amazon (both new and used), and ebay has a "what's it worth" lookup that gives you the average price that item has sold for on ebay. Since the listings are free I am not worried about having to relist so pricing some things on the high side is not a problem.

I've got 2 Pottery Barn leather "Treavor Chairs" $300 EACH
    AND
1 small light colored table $65

If DH would let me I'd sell the office furniture in the spare room

And you got to leave wiggle room, because people usually try to bargain.

If you really want at least 40.00 for something, price it for 50.00.

Can you remember when you could ask a price for something and people considered that to be your asking price and would either accept it or move on? Wasn't trying to sell something so much more easier back then?
