Ok..So my sweet baby boy will make his arrival in a couple of weeks. I should have started this search weeks ago, but does anyone know of a good pediatrician in the Clayton or Smithfield area??

My oldest goes to family physician, but my 3 little ones go to Kids's Care Pediatrics, they have offices at 40/42 and Smithfield. We see Jana; she's a nurse practitioner, but we **LOVE** her!!

I absolutely adore raleigh pediatrics. They are located at white oak shopping center back where the apartment and medical offices are. The facility is brand new (they just moved from their old location), and it is awesome. Very clean. I have twin babies, and my babies see dr. Hedgepeth. They are one of the few pediatricians where you get to see the same dr each time. Every now and then, if we go in for a last minute sick visit, we MIGHT have to see a different doctor. But there are so many good ones there, it's really not a big deal. Dr hedgepeth is really good with shots, which can be hard in little ones and their parents. I never ever feel rushed with him or like i have asked a dumb question. I really cannot say enough good things about this place. Oh, and my babies were both in the nicu at wake med for a month, and the specialists there even recommended them. http://www.raleighpediatrics.com/...even though its a larger practice, dr. Hedgepeth remembers everything about his patients. I also have friends who have older children who go to him and they love him too! Good luck and congratulations on your baby! Its will be thhe most wonderful life changing event of your life!

Ditto....they are awesome!! Dr. Hedgepeth is who my son goes to and my daughter likes a female doctor so she goes to Dr. Hunt there. They are excellent. Been there almost 9 years.

I was reading up a little on the Raleigh Pediatrics. Says they accept medicaid for newborns less than 2 months. What does this mean once he's older than 2 months?

I agree-Dr. Bliss & staff is awesome. My grandkids have been going there for 13 years.

They still accept it after that. Don't know why it is worded that way?

I bring all three of my children to Raleigh Pediatrics, and have since my son was 2. He is 16 now. You won't be disappointed.
