For some reason the key we have to open the lock we have on our storage unit is not working to open the lock. Yes, it's the right key! We insert it and it's like it's been rekeyed or is frozen...cannot turn it at all. I'm assuming we'll need to get a locksmith to get it open. Any suggestions?

Tried bolt cutters ... guess it is a really strong lock.

Cannot take it off the hinges ...it is a rental storage unit.

We are going to try some wd40 / oil but are not to optimistic.

You should use powdered graphite rather than oil.

 No, we are not behind in payments. We just rented it a week ago and it's our lock.
