Utility work at 42 and Cleveland Rd

Does anyone know the purpose for all the utility work going on at the intersection of 42 and Cleveland Rd?

I'm guessing that it's for the new Six Flags

Don't know for sure, but i was told it is for the new lane coming in.

 

do u mean along Cleve sch rd, in front of Dr Lanes?
DH says they're putting in gas lines - maybe?

supposedly there will be a new turn lane coming off 42 onto Cleveland extending down to the school - but like i said this is what i heard, don't know for a fact.

Where's Grinder, he would know for sure.

 

All I can say is thank goodness they fixed that huge pothole that was just on the edge of the road. That dang thing cost me over $450 last week for a new tire and rim repair on DD's car. :banghead:

 

Its a NCDOT project. They are doing utility relocation in preparation for a roadway expansion. I do not know, at this time, what is being expanded.

 

They are putting in fiber optic cable.
