Not having kids I have to ask is there really a huge need for a place like this?

Apparently. They are all over the place lately. I can't imagine they will last long. I pulled this list from a mom's forum I read:

    1) Jumping Kx Wiggles on the 70 across the street from Lowes Supermarket. It's part of the gym (Kx Fitness)
    http://www.jumpingkxwiggles.com

    2) Jacob's Jump N Fun
70 as you're heading toward Smithfield. It's in the strip mall where Clayton Bakery and the Comedy Club are

3)Kids Clubhouse in Cleveland School rd behind Dollar store

4)Tag Ur It in Smithfield that has bounce houses plus other stuff (like laser tag): http://www.bbcamusements.com/

5)Triple H funhouse (used to be Screamin Mimis)

This looks similar to Monkey Joe's in Raleigh and Pump it Up near the airport. These places stay busy, especially with birthday parties. I think it's funny where it mentions adults are free and can play too. Whoopee!

By the way, Triple H isn't specifically a jumping place. It's a drop-off day care. They do have one inflatable jumping thing I think.

This place literally saved my sanity today. Was there from 12:30 - 4:00 and the kids loved it and didn't want to leave.

Only suggestion I have would be instead of $8.00 each child is for it to be $8.00 for the first child and maybe $5.00 or $6.00 for every child after that. I had 4 kids with me today so it would have saved me a little. But in the end my sanity was worth the extra money spent.:lol: ... well what little I have left

The toddler area is nice too. It doesn't seem like much at first, but I was there with three 1 1/2 year olds and they were entertained for hours! They loved the climbing part and the tunnel. They also slept in this morning, which was another perk! I will definitely take mine back. For under 3 years old, it was only $3. I played with them for a little while, but they were good on their own too with me just watching from a distance.

DON'T FORGET SOCKS! You can only wear socks in the play areas.

I'm surprised they don't give a discount at least after the 2nd kid! Too bad. I wonder if they have promotions or certain "value times?" Good to know it's fun for the kids. I'll have to take mine sometime soon. They love those kind of places.

Do you know if you can drop your child off for a few hours like Screaming Mimi's used to be while you run errands or is this a Monkey Joe's type place where you stay with your kids while they play?

I have been there 2 times already my kids love it too. That would be a good idea about the 2nd kid like 3 dollars off or something like that! That would be cool.I love the fact that i don't have to drive 30 minutes out of my way!
Also there is another place on us70 next to Laughing out loud,Called jacob's jumping place.Very nice place they have 5 bounce house's and 2 rooms off to the side with blocks and a little house set up for kids to play. They charge 8 dollars for my son 6,And 5 dollars for my 4 year old.Plus they offer drink and popcorn with that price unlimited.Just thought i pass on so info.

I justed called Jacob's Jump N Fun in Clayton for birthday party information and the male who answered the phone was extremely rude and unhelpful. He certainly didn't have an interest in telling me positive things about his business that may have made be choose to have my son's party there. He just referred me to the website when I asked questions and then he said "well I guess I can read it to you". Well I guess I WON'T be spending my $$$ there for a party!!! Just booked at Tag Ur It in Smithfield where to owner who talked with me on the phone was very nice and helpful.
