i had a great time too, thought we had a great first meeting and love all the ones that came out, looking forward to some interesting discussions. There were a few that had expressed interest that didn't make it so just to let them know specifics, last night was an organizational thing and i love that the group voted on a more relaxed informal club and next Thursday at 7pm at Terrafin we will be getting together again to vote on our first book so you guys are welcome to come if you couldn't make it last night. After that the group decided to meet the 3rd Thursday of each month and new faces are always welcome. :hurray::hurray:

I am definitely interested in joining. I can't come this Thursday, but I would love to know the book that you all decide on, so I can get started at the same time. After this week, I will be free on Thursday nights.

How's it going to work .. never been in a book club before. Meeting once a month, do you have that whole month to read the book, then discuss it at the meeting and choose another book? Or do you have several months to read the book and discuss it as you're reading it?

I think Tassy or someone suggested starting a yahoo group, or a meetup page, or webpage or facebook group or somewhere that people could post messages thru-out the month to discuss it online, as long as they notify of possible 'spoiler alerts'? Or do you want to just keep discussions live/in person at the book club meetings?
