So after reading Wral this morning about a guy who was given a ck for $6000.00 from the state for missing money that he was not aware of I decided to do some research on missingmoney.com....low and behold I also found some money for myself that I did'nt know was out there. It was from a credit union savings acct from 10 yrs ago I forgot about...51.00!! Almost enough to buy a tank of gas!! I was a little skeptical so I did call the NC Dept Of Treasury and it was legit!! Check it out..you never know!!:)

I was looking at the www.nctreasurer.com site the other day and I was just looking up names of people I know, one of which has the last name Edwards. There were several checks listed as Edwards for President
you mean to tell me they can't track him down? :banghead:

On Monday, I was searching on my girlfriend's name in her home state (CA) and she had some there.

32 cents! (from Wal*Mart, for whatever reason)

Not even enough to pay for the postage to request it.

I just found my SIL listed twice in NC and messaged my BIL. Hopefully it will be worthwhile for them.

If each of you will send me your SSN, routing number, account number and Drivers License number, I'll check for you and let you know if you have any money. You can trust me, this is legit.

Looks like NC isn't one of the states listed yet as searchable on missingmoney.com ... bummer! Maybe the treasury has my lost fortune ....

Nothing for me :( But my dad and his company came up :) I would usually be leery of stuff like this, but it's on NC's Department of Treasury site, which makes it seem legit.
