I liked this one so much, some of you will see it twice: New Year's Day: Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual good resolutions. Next week you can begin paving hell with them as usual. ~Mark Twain
Ya'll got any yet for 2012? I'm going to buy some land. And *hopefully* start building my dream home <donations accepted to the HG house fund> LOL
HG Good to know, Ill be on the look out I got a jump on my resolutions, joined a gym & been eating better (I am determined to get healthy). I am also planning to grow my business and devote more time to my family Can you tell I am excited for 2012???
I gave up on the losing weight thing, so I have vowed to make more time for friends and to try some new things outside of my comfort zone. I am excited for 2012 too, MamaApe. Can't put the last couple of years behind me fast enough!!
I made no resolutions last year but the end of June, I quit smoking. I have one every now and again but very seldom. So I was already big enough to eat a bale of hay and pull a plow but managed to put on more weight so must resolve to eat much healthier in 2012.
I lost 20 pounds and found 3 without changing my eating habits. I hope to eat a little healthier in 2012. I'm really bad at staying away from desserts.
Excellent job! That's always what I tell my clients, that it's pretty simple: eat less and move your butt more. You should be very proud of your accomplishment, and I know you will have continued success if you maintain your hard work and dedication.
I made the same resolution thirty years ago and it's the only one I've ever been able to keep. :jester:
Thank you! Well, it's been a year since I posted that and I'm happy to say I still have not gained a single pound of the weight back. At times I may have been up a few pounds but it came right back off in days. I've been walking on and off and got a treadmill. My New Years resolution for 2012 will be to lose the last 20 pounds I originally wanted to. And to see a doctor and hopefully get my hip/leg issue resolved so I can go back to walking more. I wish everyone of my fellow 40/42'ers a happy and healthy new year!
Don't know if they are resolutions, more just some things I HAVE to make myself do...lose weight, exercise AND get organized.
One of my new years resolutions for 2012 is to spend less time on work and school, and more time re-establishing who I am as someone who can escape computers for awhile!
