I love this show and thought it would make a good game ... we'll see.

    No formal rules.

Ask a question and/or answer one.

    I'll start.

What happened on Sept 23, 1941, at 2 pm?

It's so funny you posted this! My son is a fan of the Andy Griffith Show and my dad and I took him to Mt. Airy aka Mayberry this weekend and he had a blast. He got his haircut at Floyd's by the same man who cut Andy Griffith's hair when he lived there (literally this man was probably in his 90's and still cutting hair!)! We had lunch at the Snappy Lunch and they do Squad Car tours around the town. We also stayed one night in the house where Andy Griffith grew up. I gotta say, it sounds great until you realize how small the bathrooms really were in a house that little and you wish you were back at the hotel! But he and my dad loved it and while I'm not as big of a fan it was fun to see them have a good time. Have you ever been? If you're a fan you should for sure go since it's so close. Look up Mayberry Days. I hear that's the best time to go!

That was a tough one Kent...how about a little easier one.

What characters brother's gas station was affected by the new "underpass" on the outskirts of Mayberry?

If no one guesses by tomorrow, I will post the episode. This one is easy though...

ECAVE: that is a good one.

I'll at least give someone else until bed time to post the answer. :)

    Mayor Roy Stoner!

I remember the Mayor getting drunk off the water in the Sheriff's Office. Otis spiked the water!

Andy's and Barney's sheriff badge was 6 pointed.

The shoulder patch was 5 pointed.

    Why?

Would that be because the patch was for the town of Mayberry while the Badge for the county?

I don't think so, since Andy is only the Sheriff of Mayberry and not the County like Sheriffs and Deputies are in the real NC world.

Ordinarily, he would be a Chief of Police rather than a Sheriff.

I couldn't find an answer to the discrepency between the badge and the patch, so I don't know.

btw, according to the NC Sheriff's Assoc website, I only see 1 FEMALE Sheriff, and she is in Currituck County.

    2. Bill Bixby
Played Ronald Baily in the episode "Baily's Bad Boy" (1962)

    3. Jack Nicholson

    and

    Clif is right.

Bandmom, it was a trick question.

Seeing Jack on the show will really make you double take.

I'd like to see the ones with him, I'd imagine he's pretty young, thats why I thought it was probably him - all the others are older, I think?
