Hummingbirds are back!!!

    Well, I'm still waiting for my little friends!

    Saw my 1st one last year on 3/19.

    Could have sworn one buzzed by me the other day (Monday?) ... but it happened so quick, I didnt get a good look at what it was.

    Had my feeder out for a couple of weeks now, but no visitors yet...

    Saw the first one a couple of days ago at our red salvia flowers.

    DH said he just got buzzed by one looking for our feeders, we hadn't put them up yet. Whoops!

    I have mine out and havent seen one yet, hoping the come out soon. Its nice to have my coffee on the weekends and watch them :)

    I refilled my feeders with some fresh mixture.

    What's holding my little friends up?

    And, it's about time!

    Watching them this morning for the 1s time since they left last year.

    Saw the first one here in Archer Lodge yesterday! Came to both feeders! Yay!

    Got my first hummingbird Friday AM! Soon as I saw him I went out and refreshed the feeder so he would have some yummy fresh feed after his long journey back! He was visiting the feeder all Friday afternoon and all day yesterday!

    Haven't been able to find my feeder ... gonna have to get a new one!

    That's one thing we do miss here on the coast...the birds in the yard.

    We have some sparrows, but they are here and there. Lots of grackles and cowbirds, but they are just a nuisance.

    Then there are the ever present "Sea Chickens." All they do all day is squawk and laugh, laugh and squawk.

    We do have a pair of White Ibis that tend to feed in our yard, and the Pelicans are a blast to watch.

    But I miss those colorful songbirds that we used to have.
