You can watch it live HERE In case you haven't been keeping up, this guy (Felix Baumgartner) is going to attempt the highest free fall at 120,000 feet (~23 miles), and hopes to actually break the sound barrier during his descent. Good luck and godspeed, Mr. Baumgartner!!!
"Mission Resumes in: Clock Stopped" ... any clue if it's delayed, or postponed? What time it's scheduled for?
Could someone post (when you hear) when it's rescheduled for? I've got to go run some errands, won't be able to keep watching/listening. Thnx!!
Yep, had to step away for a few minutes. When I got back, I saw the notice "Mission Aborted" As far as I know, they will try again on Thursday.
Watched from 20 minutes before exit and all the way through to landing. So cool. Pushes the science envelope...and gave Red Bull a captive audience for quite a long time. I did not see any of it live on any television station. Sad that a football game couldn't be interrupted for a two minute shot of his landing.
They announced that it was being broadcast on a 20 second delay, presumably in case of catastrophic FU. I assume that's why they didn't show it until he was safely on the ground. The press has caught some heat lately on live TV gone bad.
We watched it live on TV-it was on the Discovery Channel. We have high def so it was amazing. So glad it turned out ok!
Couldn't believe, after all that, he landed on his feet. That he was able to stand at all ... I'd be one quivering mess!!! It was cool to watch, and a nice diversion from the current state of affairs dominating the news ("which politician is lying the most").
:iagree: I was impressed that he was able to land on his feet too! That was pretty amazing to watch. We were debating about new logos for Redbull... "Redbull gets you high" LOL Wonder what they'll come up with?
One of the most amazing things i have ever seen. Told my dad that once you are up that high and have that view, not much on earth can top that.
