Johnston Trooper Recognized For Going Above The Call Of Duty
A Johnston County state trooper has been credited with going above and beyond the call of duty to help a Florida family. Trooper Jack Thorpe was on routine patrol on December 18 when he located a missing Florida woman at the I-95 Rest Stop near Selma.

Family members of Diana Lloyd said she has a history of schizophrenia and disappeared the day before in Inverness, Florida. She did not have any money or a cell phone.

Beatrice Lopez, the woman’s aunt, said Trooper Thorpe called her telling Lopez he had located her niece unharmed, but because of her mental health had her transported by ambulance to Johnston Medical Center to be evaluated.

Thanks to Trooper Thorpe, the family was able to drive to Johnston County and take Diana back home just in time for Christmas. “Trooper Thorpe is an invaluable asset to the North Carolina Highway Patrol,” Lopez stated in a letter to Captain Wayne Taylor. “He is a truly dedicated trooper.” WTSB Photo

He's been on here before. Delivered a baby and saved lives through CPR etc.

Maybe, but it is great to think we have a human in uniform out there that has compassion and care for the public. Sorry, I just think they are rare in the USA now with all the buzz cuts, black uniforms, etc.

That is one freaky billboard site.

A random mix of trash and upstanding citizens.
