Does anyone know if a Home Depot is still planned for mcgees crossroads, exi 319? If so, do you have a time frame?

I would doubt the demographics are there. But stranger things have happened....

Agree, I see no way that the number of people in that area could ever support at large store like Home Depot. Unless they are doing small stores like the new Little Wal Marts. But even then, even a Hardware store would have a hard time there.

My hubby would single handed keep them in business! I have heard this for many years, starting with someone who worked at Home Depot. I keep waiting, it is a long drive to Garner!

I'd love to see a full size Home Depot out here. Even if to give competition to Lowes Home Improvement. It's a lot easier to drive over to exit 319 than to drive all the way over to the Home Depot over on 70 @ Timber Drive.

I have heard that the land has already been purchased for the home depot. I think it would do quite well in this area.

I think Carol Sims was the realtor who had it listed for a long time, and she had said that Home Depot was looking at it about 5 years ago. But her sign has been gone awhile. She may know if they bought it for sure if you are interested in finding out, here is her web page with Fonville Morrisey...

Although rhetorical, and the fact that there was no "question mark", I would still call the above statement a question.... :)
