Registrations for 2016-2017 Travel Soccer tryouts are now OPEN! Please go here, https://login.siplay.com/Users/Login, to log into your account and register your child. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one before proceeding. There is a $10 fee, per player, when registering online and a $20 fee if you wait to register at the field. ALL tryouts will be held at the GCAA complex (NOT West View). Please arrive 30 minutes early dressed and ready to play (proper soccer attire, shin guards, cleats) with plenty of water. Tryout dates and times are as follows: 07 and 08 boys/ girls: 5/17- 5/18 from 5:30 to 7:00. 05 and 06 boys/ girls: 5/17- 5/18 from 7:00 to 8:30. 02, 03 and 04 boys: 5/23 - 5/24 from 5:30 to 7:00. 02, 03 and 04 girls: 5/23 - 5/24 from 7:00 to 8:30. 00 and 01 boys: 5/31 - 6/1 from 5:30 to 7:00. 98 and 99 boys: 5/31 - 6/1 from 7:00 to 8:30. 98, 99, 00 and 01 girls: 5/1 and 5/7 from 6:00 to 7:30. Important notes: Girls who are trying out for boys teams (coed) are encouraged to try out for both the boys and girls teams. Players should expect to tryout for their correct birth year age group. As you said, aside from the travel, which can vary from 30 minutes away to 2-2.5 hours away for a match, travel soccer (Challenge level and Classic level) is geared toward the more "advanced" player, looking for a more competitive atmosphere. Teams practice 2-3 times per week, participate in at least 1 game per week, sometimes 2 and anywhere from 1-3 tournaments per season.
