Does anybody happen to know the name of the fellow who used to make and sell birdhouses and outdoor furniture at the corner of Hwy 50 and Cleveland School Road? He used to park his truck on an empty lot there and sell his things until a "Private Property" sign was put up and I haven't seen him around since then.
I read about a man, who used to be a cabinet maker until a car accident ended that career. I saw him once and then read an article about him in the N&O recently. He parks on 401 as you come into Fuquay Varina, on the weekends I recall.
Stopped by today at 6430 NC 42 and got a birdhouse from Mr Valton Beasley. He charges $15 and up. Mine was $25. Very nicely made. Gonna look good on one of my garden posts.
