I have some old electronics I need to dispose of. Where have you taken yours?

I have 2 Dell laptops, a cell phone, a blackberry and an old Kindle paperwhite. Not sure what I need to do with the laptops to dispose of them safely and avoid any security concerns.

    Thanks!!

Thanks! This one didn't come up in my searches. I saw you can drop electronics off at the dump on certain days but knew I would have to disassemble the laptops myself for security if I did that.

Just run DBAN on them, or take the hard drive out and drill a few holes in it.

Erase the memory on the laptops and phones then put all of them on Craig's List for free. You won't have to take them anywhere. Just be sure to list what works and what doesn't work.

JoCo convenience dump sites have a section for electronics. I believe that you do not need a sticker for recycling.
