Finally they will widen the much needed NC42 from NC50 to US70 Business. But it probably won't be finished for 6-8 years lol. Right now, every morning, the light for Cornwallis backs up between 1 and 1.5 miles of bumper to bumper traffic. I wonder how long that line of cars will be in 5 years. It will probably stretch to the west side of 40 in the morning.
Especially if our commissioners and planning board keep approving subdivisions in the area and running away large employers from the other side of the county!
