Anyone know what was going on, on I 40 W this evening? They had a lane closed from 70 bypass to exit 301 440split. Looks like they were taking core samples with some drills.
They've had survey stakes set along the road as well. My guess is getting ready for widening from 70 to 42 which is supposed to take place in 2017 last I heard. We are probably seeing the very beginning of this.
