Any idea what was going on tonight about 8 pm at the Auto Zone, 42/Old Drugstore rd.? There were a bunch of sheriff dept cars and the rear access lot was taped off.
That was what I was told " through the grapevine" the morning after it happened. The true story is still being uncovered, the victim is a co worker of mine and you know how word travels, just ask the fine folks at smithfields bbq on jones sausage road.
Their was a carjacking. The victim works with my husband. The guys robbed him took his car then dumped him and shot him. It's a sad situation.
That is what I was told too, at first.. but today I was told he was meeting someone there to sell some rims or tires, then the person who was buying the rims robbed and shot him. Still may have taken his car also but that part is unclear as it is still under investigation..
