Like this "toy" from the 1950s? It contained real uranium.

If you can find one now.. or justify the expense for the purchase they are really neat. I came close to buying one once at an auction but was convinced that I had enough hazardous material already. I have some of the radioactive glass from the atomic bomb tests though....:D

No, it is a fragment of glass from the Trinity test of the Plutonium bomb in 1945.

There is a commercial product called Tannerite which will explode violently when the energy of a bullet is applied. This compound is a binary explosive, which means that it is stable until the two compound are mixed in the proper ratio. You can adjust the base components to require more or less energy to cause the explosion. These compounds are readily available and can be made made at home if one desires. Large quantities can blow up cars, etc., so I never mix more than a few ounces. Those few ounces will blow a pumpkin into low orbit though and may result in a 911 call if someone is close and does not know what is happening.

Trying to hit the Tannerite while flying would be a little more difficult and unsafe as it would require a very large backdrop to stop any stray bullets...lol.
