First, you have butchered the concept of accurate statistics so badly it is not funny. You are falsely assuming the entire state population tracks from the information from Duke University Health System, not the data for the area served by DUHS.

Second, you falsely assuming the percentage of those in the hospital should be compared to the total number of those boosted and not the total number in the hospital.

IF we assume the state data is the same as the area serviced by DUHS, the percentage of the population which is boosted is 25.65%, which when compared to the percentage of the hospitalized population which has been boosted of 10%, shows less than half the percentage expected if the population carried through.

The percentage of unvaccinated population is 36.74% compared to the unvaccinated hospital population is about twice that at 73%.

That is the correct way to compare population percentages.

It's comparing the percentages, not looking at the actual percentages. Obviously the percentages of the population are not accurate since it's just one system. But the comparison between the two should be fairly accurate. Assuming that the people that are nearby the Duke system are vaccinated and boosted at the same percentage as the state.

It is comparing two numbers, but the numbers are not related as you wish to believe. You cannot accurately try to compare the two as any basic statistics class would have taught you. There are two cohorts to be compared to determine the percentage relationship. The number of vaccinated, boosted, and unvaccinated within the general population and the same data for those within the hospitalized population. Those two can be accurately compared but trying to compare the general population percentage to the percentage of the general population which is hospitalized and vaccinated, etc. cannot.

If you doubt this, all you have to do is look at the data on incarcerations. The percentage of the different ethnic groups within the general population and the same groups which are incarcerated are compared to determine whether the percentages are similar or not. They do not try to compare the general population percentage of the specific ethnic groups to each other because it does not give any usable data.

That is the correct way to compare these two population percentages, share of NC population vaccinated, boosted, unvaccinated to share of DUHS hospitalized population vaccinated, boosted, unvaccinated, assuming the NC population data is the same as the DUHS data.

That natural immunity factor did not help Glenn Beck.

Glenn Beck Says He's Taking Ivermectin for Second COVID Bout That's 'a Little Disturbing'
BY AILA SLISCO ON 1/13/22 AT 6:24 PM EST

Conservative talk radio host Glenn Beck has announced that he is taking ivermectin and other unapproved and unproven COVID-19 treatments due to a second "disturbing" bout of the virus that has gone to his lungs.

Beck said that he was "on all the medications and treatments" during a Wednesday interview on Mark Levin's radio show. The Blaze Media founder and former Fox News personality, who previously recovered from a December 2020 COVID-19 case, greeted Levin by saying that he was feeling "great" despite his second infection.

Looks like the vaccine is doing its job, 360% of the case rate with 56.6% of the death rate compared to last year.

Typically those are the numbers the Drudge Report gives and usually they are a little higher than those given by the CDC. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailycases

Nice to see we are still divided by FACTS. Civil War coming. When our grandkids look back 75 years from 2024, they're really going to wonder was ignorance of facts really worth losing what will then be the former USA Democracy over? Why hide in camps and clans because you're angry and Tucker or Qanon shaman told you it was right when the outcome will make you wish it was the 20th century again? Sad. A lot of ostriches and sheep in the pasture.

It's been said ad nauseum but the naysayers can't give an answer - did anyone really question things like the smallpox vaccine decades ago? Come on man. Pick a better fight for a more worthy goal.

Here's your answer. Smallpox didn't require 3 vaccines and a mask so you could still get smallpox.

Here is the rebuttal of your flawed "answer". The smallpox transmission vectors are different from the Covid-19 vectors so the use of masks. even if known and understood at that time, would not have been an issue. The smallpox vaccine was not as well tested as the Covid-19 vaccine, but was not opposed by politically motivated conspiracy theories, misrepresentations, and out right lies. The current smallpox vaccine is still only about 95% effective and the protection wanes after a few years, but with the continual effort it only took almost 200 years to eradicate the disease.
