What was your original internet service you used?

    With k mart down to 3 stores, it made me remember that bluelight.com was the 1st internet service we used. What was yours? (1997 +/-)

    CompuServe around 1990-94, then Prodigy 1994-1996, then AOL from 1996-2000, then we finally got cable internet around 2000 from Comcast I believe or whatever they were called back then.

    I think Compuserve when I lived in Florida. I stand corrected it was Mindspring. It became Earthlink. I dropped them when they moved their heipdesk from Atlanta Ga to somewhere in India.

    Prodigy, 1994 got a free disk with the first modem I bought and installed.

    Had AOL from 1999-2004, TWC from 2004-12, then CenturyLink from 2012-20, then finally Spectrum from 2020-

    Hmm, I had a dial up modem that you put the reciever on. When I got a connection, I landed at a page with a list of BBS sites, this was in the late 80s. Before that I made a connection with a TI-99/4a but was only machine to machine with a direct dial-up. It was a very big deal the first time I booted and didn't need a floppy disk to install DOS! Crap I'm old...
