I believe that there is a whole lot of music in this world of every type imaginable. But the best music for the listener is that which comes from the heart of the performer.

If you depend on it for a living, I understand you would have to make the choice that suits you best in that sense.

But if not, I'd stick with the music in your soul...because that's the best music. Anything else is just playing.
