Draft House not all it's cracked up to be?

I can only give kudos to the staff there. They have been absolutely wonderful to me. I am always on the bar side and love my bartenders, wait staff and the management!! They really look out for their customers. To DH: I just want to say "Thanks for EVERYTHING - it is appreciated more than you all will ever know!".

Oh, and the food there just freakin' ROCKS too!!

 

The service at the Draft House was effecient and very courteous on our visits. Wait staff checked by on a timey basis. Food was served quickly. The restaurant was very busy and it appeared all tables were getting the same excellent service. Hosts were great and a manager checked by to make sure everything was OK. Keep up the good work.

 

Well, tried it again. Same result. Steak and cucumber pita is their downfall. Village Draft House gets it right every time and this place has yet to get it right. I know....different owners, different cooks.

Great draft, though! Will only go for drinks probably at this point. Will eat elsewhere. Tired of wasting money.

To A FRIEND- I am sorry you think that my question about being a mgr for another Rest in the 40/42 area is not proper to put on this discussion board. For that I am sorry no Ill intentions towards anyone; I was just simply asking a question? This person made (various goods) an opinion which of course they are welcome to. I was just simply asking ,which would have no bearing on what people might think. I must have hit the truth with that person b/c they are gone from this forum. Hubby and I went laST night with another couple for the first time. Hubby and I shared the meatloaf sammie and it was awesome! Our service was good. My only complaint is the other gentleman at our table tried to order a spinach salad and was told it could not be served due to the recent problems. The ban was lifted last week, according to the news. Also, the other person at our table is a chef and works at a fine dining establishment. She let us know that it was correct that the ban had been lifted. I hate spinach so I really didn't care! Anyhoo...go with the meatloaf on sour dough...yum!

Oh thanks alot MP, put all the blame on me :lol: :lol: BTW, DH and i tried going up there last Thursday nite and COULD NOT find a single parking space - guess the business is booming

 

My experience was good at CDH. My only complaint is that the last time we went, the lot was full and there was a waiting list for a table. Since I am not one inclined to wait a half hour just to have a seat and I can't stand hanging out in the smoking section, we left. If everyone else would just stay away so we could have a table, I would go there more often. Good food, good beer. Clean non-smoking atmosphere, when available.

 

The wife and I went on Saturday for lunch, it was our first time, and the service was great.

We will be going back but hopefully I will make a better choice from the menu the next time, probably will also go for the sandwiches.

 

Try the Reuben Hught - one of the few really good ones i have found around here.

 

Their Chicken Salad Sandwich is yummy too.

 

When DH and I went, we both had chicken pasta dishes. They were almost the same, but seasoned a little differently. They were average to good quality. I haven't tried the sandwiches there yet.

 

Actually that does sound good, and it fights the Avian Flu as well!

You know I wouldn't do u like that! Actually, it was kind sad. Hubby's best friend's girlfriend is moving out of state. None of us want her to go, but she was offered a job she just couldn't pass up...her dream.

CDH is a great place to eat!! Great food, great service! There's always gonna be someone who you can't satisfy. Forget em! Don't go. :wink: :wink:

 

The spinach ban has been lifted but we have not been able to find any in any food stores since the ban was lifted.

 

Wife had a small spinach salad at CDH last night and it looked good, and I'm not a greens type of salad person.
