Jeeze Louise...like QDR isn't enough? - Not that country music isn't good, but the same 50 songs over and over nad over...like a BAD dream... 100.7 now playing the moldies...I mean oldies? God, I can remember when every one of the songs they play were released...makes me feel ancient Guess 96 is about the only station I'll be able to handle in the car when not listening to CD's. Now I gotta change my presets and change them to what??? Grrrr Sorry state of affairs when radio stations keep changing their format.
May I suggest three great stations? When in Raleigh turn to 91.1 WRTP or 106.7 KLOVE or in Clayton or 40/42 turn to 107.3 WCLN. These are all great Comtemporary Christian stations that all the family can listen to and they don't change formats like underwear. Pastor G
According to RDU's website, they're encouraging listeners to tune into 100.7 The River. I usually listen to 99.9 or 94.7 unless I want some R & R then I tune into 96.1. I haven't listened to 106.1 in a long time. When they got John Boy and Billy for a morning show, I tuned out. Then they actually found something even worse with Bob and Tom. Try 100.7 or 96.1. Personally, I'm not impressed with any Raleigh radio stations. If you're ever up around Norfolk, tune into FM99, they kick butt! Mike
we listened to 100.7 all the way to the beach too and let me tell you it is better then 106.1 was. IMO.
So did they turn into country? I didn't know that. UGH. To many country stations. 96.1 is playing some awesome music now. They changed their music around. Ben
Having 96.1 FM as the only rock station is not a good thing. I wonder how many RUSH CD's they have worn out by playing them ALL THE TIME!
This is such crap. I was VERY disappointed to tune in this morning and hear Billy Bob rather than Bob and Tom. NOT a good way to start out my Monday. I like 88.1, probably will be permanently set to that now.
Thanks Pastor G for the information! Good to see you around again . I can tell ya, ClearChannel (is that the one?) sure is making it easy for me to program my radio. I like country & have a few stations programmed, but don't need it all-country... Frogger
If you can pick up their tiny little signals or can even stand today's contemporary Christian music. Who wants to keep a program handy to be able to listen to a single station on a bunch of low power translators? For example: http://www.hisradio.com/common/contenthottop.asp?PAGE=363 each with a tiny little signal.
I agree 100%! Hey Pastor G, are you going to the Christian Music Day at Carowinds on Saturday? I can't wait!!
FYI, it's "you're" - and yes, I think he is being quite serious. I almost always have my radio tuned in to 107.3. Great music!
The only country I like is the old country or bluegrass. Old country to me is Hank Jr., Alabama, George Jones, Merle H., The judds, and Tammy W. I just don't like that ba donkie donk(sp) stuff. I do like Gary Allen. I would rather listen to some Guns and Roses, Pearl Jam, Green Day things such as that. My wife likes Dylila(sp) I don't know how her name is spelled. On 101.5 on Saturday night. She plays slow love stuff but it is pretty good. I just hate her voice, It is annoying!!! Where are all the rock n roll stations going? All these other stations you all are posting, what do they play? 88.1, isn't that rock n roll?
88.1 is NCSU's broadcast school station, so its whatever it wants to be throught the day. they play everything from techno to death metal, not a bad station really although the sound quality sucks and the signal is always weak in this area.
Pastor G - when you are leaving Raleigh and 91.1 starts to fade -- you can switch to 88.5 and get the same great music! I listen to HIS radio at the office through my computer! SubMom727 Proud Navy Mom!
