Bush has got the U.S. in a terrible war in Iraq. His lust for the destruction of Weapons of Mass Destruction – the discovery of which never materialized – and his hatred of Saddam Hussein, a man who threatened but never harmed the U.S., (although he did kill one or two of his own people) led this country into a war which we are caught up in. The Democratic Party has a solution. If the Democrats win the Congress on Tuesday, the leadership promises to bring our forces home. The Democrats have always shown a love and respect for the American military, proven often by their support of the military budgets, the approval of the testing of strategic weaponry, and their steadfast encouragement of the American fighting man demonstrated so often by rallies aimed at ending the war. While some people have interpreted these rallies to be supportive of our enemies, the real concerns are our fighting men. We apologize if the terrorist and insurgency saw it otherwise and found encouragement to draw a bead on one of our soldiers one more time. The Democrats will not just “cut and run” as so often depicted by the Republicans. No, the plan will be to gradually withdraw on an established timetable. That way the Iraqis will know when they will have the responsibility for their own security. And the timetable will also signal to the insurgents and terrorists that we mean them no animosity and simply want to pull our people out of the fray. They can do what they want after we are gone. It will be the best for the whole region in the long-run. So on Tuesday, support your military, your nation, and world peace - Vote for your Democratic candidates!
