Hi, I got a wonderful little puppy but unfortunately my two yr. old keeps trying to squash him and working full time I cant dedicate the time he needs. I have been trying to find him a new home and posted on here but have not gotten any response. Can someone pls suggest a good place to post an ad or find people in search of puppies!
    thanks

Its not being a "pet freak" per se..

but its about people who "on the whim" buy and then need to get rid of the pet...

After all .. "no time" -- wasn't that known about when looking to buy a pup ? Having a young child and keeping busy already should've been a red flag for buying ...

If you look in shelters, those are some of the dogs/cats who were brought on a whim and the buyer couldn't rehome them so took them there ....

first of all....I did not buy the pup. It was a sweet but unasked for gift. I tryed crate training and teaching my daughter to treat the puppy nicely but she wont. I dont think the dog deserves to be mistreated bc my 2 yr old thinks it is a toy. Granted maybe my bf did not make the best decision but he spent his christmas budget trying to get a puppy for our three kids. I did not realize it was inappropriate to post a query seeking advice. I apologize and will look elsewhere.

    No need to apologize

and wasn't trying to come off Hard about it (or not too hard)... just that also pups grow up - so do kids. Perhaps if you continue with the crate training and teaching child boundaries, all of you all can live happily ever after.

It is not your fault. It is people like that who put pets before people that ruin the experience for others. Those are the ones needing to be spayed and neutered.

You are fine. Don't let their opinions get to you. There are more of you here than them. I am one of you. Leave it to us to put them in their place. In the kennel!

OMG he's so cute!! If I had the money I would take him in a heart beat. You are not doing anything wrong by trying to find him a good home. I wish you the best of luck!

That is true about trying to work with the crating and my little girl more. But i feel like the dog will be pretty upset in the crate all the time, and honestly , when i do finally get off work i would rather be with my 2 yr old and the other kids playing instead of just telling her "no, not nice" all the time.
anyways, i did post on wral and hopefully will find someone who is a better fit for the dog.
thanks everybody .....and serversnapper, I see you changed your pic. very cute

Well then at least the honest part is coming

out .. and being that its the holidays - and yep, a really cute pup - I'm sure you won't have any problems in finding a home. And at least your ad of going to screen the potentials, etc is good.

So anyhow .. Merry Christmas to you & your family

And yeah .. for the dude that mention belonging in the kennels .. YEP I am there ..assisting with being an advocate for the animals who don't have a choice in this world - that's the issue; its the many abandoned animals that are affected by people not owning up to being responsible .....

Jennydiane, I'm sure you care about your puppy and that is the reason you're looking for a new home for it. Please, be careful about who gets it and DO charge a re-homing fee. I have a purebred Pomeranian that someone gave away via Craigslist. When the person who got her couldn't keep her anymore, she wound up in the pound. :-(
