I just called tonight and made reservations at a new place called Paradise Resort for Easter week. We got an oceanfront room with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen for $107/night. They have cheaper rooms too.

Funny thing is I went to hotels.com first and the rates are exactly the same BUT you have to pay for the WHOLE reservation up front. I told them no thanks and called the resort directly and got the same rate and only had to pay for 1 night as a deposit.

    Check them out. www.paradiseresortmb.com.

Yeah, don't make the mistake of going to MB,SC during Harley week...unless you love Harleys and lack of sleep. Actually, there are two Harley "weeks". One in the spring; the other in the fall. We made the mistake of going down there for the weekend on one of those Sept. weekends and those Harleys were running up and down Ocean Drive most of the night. I can appreciate them, but not that much.

Actually, if they're having "anything week" that involves a motor, I ain't going! Electric car weekend might be okay. ;)

I use to live about 15 miles from Myrtle Beach when I was married and we always stayed at The Yachtsman when we went there for the weekend to just get away from the house. Its a nice place and hard to miss just look for the Tall Glass Building on the ocean next to Pier 21 Restaurant and within walking distance to the strip and The Pavilion. Have fun and enjoy.

it is an awesome place to stay ! i have been there probably 10 or more times. the indoor pool complex is wonderful in the winter time for the whole family ! largest indoor facility in the southeast. the resort has just been completely renovated. the rooms are very big, and about $40 right now ! good winter break for the family ! even more fun in the summer with the outdoor facilities !

We haven't had much luck since most places are booked. We're trying to figure out what are other dates we can go there. Wished we could've booked sooner. :(

For the companies xmas party, we've stayed at the Avista Resort the last few years. I know the rates early december are low, we pay $48 to stay an extra night. Heres the website, but the rates are substantially higher in May...

It's a beautiful place though, and its located at North Myrtle, so its a little quieter.
