    Hi everyone again,

If you had a choice as to what schools your child would attend-- which would you say are the best there as per your experience?

Still making a decision here -- just trying to figure out exactly where --
    thanks for everyone's help --
    Ps -- I love screamin mimi's -- :):):):)

are you originally from new york -- why do you think that would be the case?

have a lot of family south -- just wondering why ?

    check out GreatSchools.net

West View Elementary gets 9 out of 10 for test scores. Waverly Point is a nice neighborhood for that school. The website is really helpful for relos. Good luck!!

I have had WONDERFUL experiences with McGee's Elementary school...

DD went to Raleigh Charter High school and loved that too. (but not J. Co)

I second the vote for West View Elem, and Cleveland Elem. I don't have kids old enough for middle or high, so I have no idea.

thanks everyone for your opinions -- I saw cleveland schools were great --are there any wooded lots around with like 1 acre -- new developments similiar to taft woods that I should check in?

    again, really appreciate your input:):)

You can't go wrong with most Johnston County Schools in the Cleveland/McGees and Flowers/Riverwood/Archers Lodge areas.

    HOME school.. :p

Sorry I cannot help you but I had to get a plug in there for homeschools! I know this does not work for everyone.

Everyone has been super nice here.

thanks -- I feel too that everyone is really nice

homeschooling is always an option -- if I could I'd prefer schools --

seems overall that most schools are good :)

    Neuse Charter School
    www.neusecharterschool.org
New school 2007-2008. Currently K-5 adding a new grade each year thru 8th grade.
Because it's a charter school it's open to all North Carolina students but we mostly have students from Jo. Co.
Note: Often mistaken for a private school. It's a charter not private.
    We really like it.

Since we are in JOCO they will tell you all the schools are the same out here-that is when you question anyone at home office.

However, that is not the case. I would say Polenta & West View for elementary
Middle school I would say MCgees and at the other end Clayton
    High school would be WJHS

Any school in Wake County would be better.
