Some friends had two of them when we were growing up, I distinctly remember the drifts of hair and slobbers. EWWW! They don't live all that long either, due to their size. Great dogs, otherwise, very sweet.
If there Saint Bernards, they are some of the best dogs in the world for kids. Very playful yet very protective. Mine lived for 13 years but they are by far, outside dogs, even though during bad storms, we would let ours come in or stay in the garage.
