You can find all the info so far on the SUMMER FUN FOR LITTLE ONES thread. So far we're all stay at home moms, or at least most of the time, so it's during the week. Do you work full time, M-F? This is something we just started putting together yesterday, so it's in the early stages...

    playgroup date

    Hey DMJ mom :)

Thought I would post some info on here to fill in others about the emails to see if they are interested. Really excited about making new friends for my squidgen!

So the 18th at 10:00 at my house it is. I live in Riverwood athletic club. I have three children. Reanna will be nine this Summer, Cameron will be seven, and my youngest, Zoey, is 2 1/2. Reanna and Cameron will be gone with their mother for most of the Summer, but those with older children are still welcome to bring them over. I have a Wii, gamecube, and playstation for hours of entertainment. For my little one I have a fenced in back yard with a kiddie pool, some water toys, sand box, a huge swing set/slide/fort etc, oh and I live in walking distance to a little park and their is a pool in my comm. not sure how much guest passes are. but most the time I think the little ones are good with the hose and dirt.
anyways, my little girl is very playful and anyone who is interested is welcom in coming over. DMJmom had asked for a playhouse offering and i am raring to go.

Thanks Jenn! Here are the dates I have come up with so far:

6/24 - White Oak Cinemas - Veggie Tales. Movie starts at 10, meet by 9:45 (I will not be at this one, so someone else will have to be in charge!)

    6/27 - Lake Benson Park 10:00

6/30 - Chick-Fil-A - White Oak - 11:00. We'll do it early to try to beat the rush, if that's possible!

7/9 - White Oak Cinemas - Bee Movie. Movie starts at 10, meet by 9:45.

7/15 - Pullen Park 10:00. I will not be at this one either.

7/18 - My house 10:00. I will give emailed address when it gets closer.

If anyone has any suggestions on these or other future dates, please let me know! I emailed Webbie, am still hoping he'll sticky this thread for us.

I had a feeling you would! I know it'll be hectic, but maybe you can make it to the one on the 18th at my house...

I have boys 5 & 8, but no girls. There were a couple that responded with older kids but think they split the time with their exes as well (not sure if I got that right?). Maybe they will pm or post on here. You are still welcome to come, and meet us, and maybe still meet others through people you meet. At least you can make some friends, learn about schools, the area, things like that. Check out the PLAYGROUP thread for more details.

Hey DMJmom! I sent you a PM this morning with my email address, but have not heard back from you. Did you get my email address ok? Thanks!

What is the range of ages for the kids? I have a 9 yr old, 6 yr old and will keep another 6yr old. I would love to come along. Also, I'm not sure how busy the White Oak movies are, but some of the other theatres are really busy, and meeting at 9:45am might not get you a seat. Just a thought.

I did, thanks! I thought I responded, but all the emails came at once, so I might not have. But I did write it down, so I did get it. Did you see that I started a new thread specifically for the playgroup? I posted the calendar over there. Webbie and I are discussing right now whether to sticky it or to start a new forum altogether. I'll keep you all updated on what is decided...

I still need Cindy's email, and Rachaels too.

I have never had any problems getting into the theatres. Just get there early, even late I managed to get a seat. I have pre-school age girls. The older one can hold her own, she will enjoy playing with 6 YOs.

Thanks! Just make sure you have the "s" in the middle of my email address. A lot of people accidentally leave that out! I'm thinking of changing my address because of all the problems I have with that!

Hey, I would love some weekend get togethers too.
I work on Mondays,Tuesdays, and Fridays. I think pretty much all ages should be welcome. My eight yr. old stepdaughter is my 2 yr. olds best friend so I am sure diff. ages will have fun. Is there one person who is being the ring leader. Also, are we RSVPing? I too used to be in a very popular local mom's club and it just wasnt my thing, but it is def. not fun to get ready and your house ready or show up somewhere and have alot of no shows
    any ideas?
    Maybe a calendar?

Love what you have on there so far! I think it's going to be great being able to get together with other parents and letting the kids get out and socialize and play together too! Looking forward to it!

Thanks for all your inputs! I will not be able to do weekend/evenings, as we stay pretty busy at those times, and are gone a lot of weekends. so if someone wants to take care of those times, feel free! I did start a calendar on my 4042 account (it's on the email page) I don't know if I can share it or not. But I will keep it posted on the PLAYGROUND thread. I just heard from webbie, he's going to sticky it for us. And if it gets too big or busy, we'll get our own forum, like the school news and pet forums we currently have.

As far as RSVPing, I say yes, definitely. I'm getting ready to email everyone that I have addresses for with Jennifer's address (the first date we have for the 18th) and will ask that everyone reply back. All I ask is that you let me know at least a day in advance so I can let her know.

I say let all ages come as well, I have older kids as well and they will be with me. This is by no means a toddler's playgroup, it's definitely for all ages! I just noticed at the beginning that there were alot of people with young kids, and were concerned with nap times.

With the movies - I would say get there by 9:45 the latest. I've never had a problem getting in but I've never been in a big group either. Also, fyi, Webbie is going to merge the two threads, this one and the summer fun for little ones that we started this discussion in, to help with the confusion!

Sarah (and anyone else who hasn't contacted me yet) let me know your email through a PM and I'll email you the address of the first date...

What's going on with these Threads? This one states "Moved" and shows no views and no posts. Hum...what's up?
