RCmommy - somewhere towards the beginning of this thread is a schedule of events coming up, the first date is this next wednesday. pm me and let me know if you can come, your kid's ages and an email i can use to send you info. sorry, i'm out of town right now don't have my info in front of me!

Up & Away - I meant to post that on here, that they're closing, I go there all the time, I might even recognize some of you that go there! I don't care too much for Bullwinkles because it's in separate rooms and hard to see kids from where you're sitting, I prefer Chuck E Cheese over Bullwinkles (if I had to choose!)

There's also Rainbow Lanes if anyone is interested in that, might be better for older kids though.

Crafting sounds good, I don't really have a lot of that, my kids' are more outdoorsy type, but we are definitely open to that, especially on rainy or very hot days, and it's good to have a variety anyways. So we will definitely put that on our list of things to do. And anyone that does want to offer their houses for playdates please let me know, I know so far, Jennifer, Stephanie, me, Rachael (I think) have offered, and I think that's it.

    UPDATE FOR WEDNESDAY

FIRST PLAYDATE THIS WEDNESDAY AT 10:00 AT JENNIFER'S HOUSE!

OK...So far I only have the following the people down as coming for sure with their children:

    Brenda, Cindy, Dana, Angie.

Please let me know for sure if you can come, just so Jennifer knows how many people will be at her house! Let me know if you have not received an email from me with her address and I'll get it to you, but I think I've sent one to everyone. You can PM me or email me at DMJmom@4042.com. We'll have everyone just bring their own snacks and drinks for their kids this time, and when we meet we can go over "rules" for future dates, and decide what other things we want to do, etc. I'd also like to know if there are other houses anyone wants to volunteer for playdates as well.

The kids that live at the house where the playdate is at also has kids those ages, so please come, I'm sure your daughters would love to meet some kids their ages!

    REMINDER!!!

OK...This Wednesday at 10:00 at Jennifer's house. Thank you for everyone who has replied back to me, Laura, Melynda and Cathy I got you down as coming. There will be kids there aged from 4 months to 12 years, so don't worry if you think your kid is too young or too old, they're not!! There are still a few I haven't heard from, but there's still time...Jennifer, not counting your kids, so far there will be 17 kids!!

What to bring: Everyone please just bring your kids, their snacks and drinks, clothes they can get wet in and towels. I think that should be good for the first playdate. Jennifer, if there's anything else you can think of to tell us, please feel free to chime in! Cathy, I'll PM you the address in a minute...Also, please come with any ideas for future playdates, and I'm bringing some questions for everyone, it seems with each child I have I lose a part of my memory, and I have 3 so my mind is pretty much gone!! I really am excited to meet all of you, and can't wait to get this started!!

    Hi!

    Pretty excited about Wendsday!
I cannot wait to meet everyone and my kids can't either. I did not think about this earlier, but would it be easier to do it at 9:00? I just am amazed how hot it is by 10! If not, I am still good to go.
Wii is ready, hose, chalk, swings, etc.
I was reading the other posts and was wondering how many people had been to marbles? I took my kids there yesterday and they loved it!
Thought maybe that would be a neat place to meet up with one day. Oh, and I will have a cooler and some lawn chairs ready. Please let me know if any kids have any specific food allergies or anything. I think I mentioned this before, but just for all you mommies peace of mind....
I do have a smoke and pet free home so should be pretty allergy safe :)
My two year old has her own room, and my two oldest (reanna 9 in august and Cameron 7 in July ) share one.)
So, there are diff. areas for diff. ages.

Should we call you Jenny or Jen or Jennifer? I didn't know if 9 would be too early for everyone, but if it's not for you, the hostess with the mostess :)lol:) then why don't we say people can show up anytime from 9:00 on...I will probably get there around 9:30, as long as I dont' get lost, don't know Clayton that well, don't get out of Garner that often! The cooler sounds like a great idea, and your house sounds perfect for a playdate, thank you so much for offering! I haven't ever been to marbles, and am looking forward to talking to other moms tomorrow about places we can go. My workdays might be moved down to one day a week instead of two, if that's the case then I'd be free to do more.

And just as a reminder, the next playdate I believe is scheduled for next Tuesday the 24th at White Oak for the movies. I don't think I'll be at that one. No need to really RSVP for that one, just try to meet out front by 9:45 the latest so everyone can sit together.

Let's just say if you want to take your kids up there and UP and Away play I would go this week before her last day! Honestly, the lady that announced she was buying it at preschool graduation double crossed Jen and just signed the lease to rent. She just wanted access to "leads", Jen to leave the walls the same for free, and expects to walk in with a ready made daycare/kid play business...pretty pathetic if you ask me. Hope you aren't a 4042.com regular...bad "Karma" if you ask me.

Are you referring to me? I am a 4042.com regular though I don't post as often as others, as well as an Up & Away regular. I was stating what Jennifer told me last week. If that has fallen apart then I'm sure I will find out when I drop my daughter off this week. I'm not sure what I've done to cause bad karma?

I think she was referring to the person who is taking over Up & Away, not you!

I've got Laura, Cindy, Brenda, Angie, Dana, Melynda and Cathy all coming to Jennifer's house Wednesday. I've heard from everyone but Stephanie. The nerve of some people, you think because you have 7 kids you can't find time to respond!! :jester: just kidding of course!! I am so excited to meet you all, and I know my kids are going to be thrilled to have someone to play with! I haven't told them yet because once I do that's all I will hear about...

    What?!!!!!

Someone who just wants to take a business for the leads?? That's a horrible thing to do to the kids that are regulars. Bad, bad form!

I WAS refering to the person who is going to lease the building after Jen's lease is up this week...not you Brea...8) Bet you know who I am too so don't worry!

She announced at preschool graduation that she was buying the business and would be a licensed daycare. Then I think she decided to keep everything the same thinking that most of Jen's customers or the area wouldn't know that management/ownership had changed.
I won't be taking my kids there! Cause if she runs her business like this, I wouldn't want her being an example to my kids or would I trust her with them!
