Anyone know if there is a post office at the 40/42 area where I can send registered letters?

The post office is on the other side of 40, in the shops behind Golden Corral.

Thanks BM. Is it a U.S. post office or one of those independant businesses. I have registered mail and I think I can only do that at a U.S. Postal Service office......?

Hi! I do know that most independent post office (not afflitated with USPS) usually charge a little more on registered mails. If you go to any USPS, it's cheaper. As for Cleveland Oaks Post Office, I haven't been there and I'm not sure about their pricing. Can't hurt to check them out.

I asked that question and their rates are the same as the USPS. I use them when I EBay.

The Cleveland Oaks PO is a licensed contractor (I think that is the correct wording) to the USPS so they do not charge more like a Mail Boxes Etc. or something like that. From what I remember being told is that they are the same as a regular USPS except they don't run the mail delivery trucks out of that location therefore any mail sent to you needs to be picked up at either the Timber or Clayton USPS locations depending on what your mailing address is.

We mail/ship often to Wilmington, Jacksonville, Morehead City, Beaufort and points Down East. I have mailed materials from the house with a 3 pm pickup and taken something I'd forgotten to send to the Cleveland place before 6. The materials I mail from Cleveland Oaks have always gotten delivered the next day. Stuff mailed from the house often takes 2. Go figure..
