Hello, My name is Sherry Hall and I am your local Tupperware Consultant. I have teamed up with the Friends of the Johnston County Animal Shelter. I hope you can join us in our efforts to raise funds for the Friends of the Johnston County Animal Shelter's on going needs. Thank you in advance for your support and consideration. For more information, or to contact me, please visit my website: http://my.tupperware.com/sherrybhall (then click on News)
I browsed through the catalog. Darn. I guess it just ain't your mothers tupperware any more. All sorts of cool stuff.. I did not notice what I was looking for in the catalog, Maybe you would know. Is there a piece of tupperware that could hold 20-40 lbs of dry dog food? I need to get a new container for my dogs dry food and I figure I could kill to proverbial birds with one stone. Get the container and help out JCAPL.
I have never heard of the Friends of the Johnston County Animal Shelter. And there is nothing on the JCAS web site about it. And Garner is not in Johnston County. Please note, the Johnston County Animal Protection League, a 501c3 non-profit organization (www.jcapl.org) is not affiliated with the above Friends organization.
First of all this I did not say this was in Garner so there must be some confusion on your part. The Johnston County Animal Shelter is located in Smithfield off of Brightleaf Blvd. There is to be no confusion with the JCAPL because they are not the same entity. The Johnston County Animal Shelter is part of the local government. Certain parts of local governments have non-profit entities in which they are allowed to raise funds which is called 'Friends". Basically, libraries, museums, etc all have "Friends" which are non-profit entities that they use to raise funds. If you are still uncertain, please contact Ernie Wilkinson, of the Johnston County Animal Shelter for verification. He will soon be issuing a memo to other local government entities. Thank you for supporting the FRIENDS OF THE JOHNSTON COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER located in Smithfield.
Barren River, I know of no such container, however, I will check into this and if I find out differently then I will contact you.
You said to check your web site, which I did, and it said Make checks payable to: Friends of the Johnston County Animal Shelter Mail order forms and payments to: Sherry Hall 65 Glen Road, PMB 322 Garner, NC 27529 A Garner address - no contact information for the Friends organization. That said, I am thrilled if this organization exists. (And contributors, please note that if this is a 501c3 organization, then contributions are tax deductible!) The JCAS can use all the help it can get. I'll look forward to Ernie's memo. I know he wants to raise considerable funds to build an adoption center attached to the existing shelter - an expensive undertaking that the county will not pay for. And I was clarifying for Barrener River Short, who mentioned JCAPL, that it is not the same organization.
I just thought I would elaborate a little more as to what the funds raised will be contributing to for those that are not as familiar with the services that the animal shelter provides. The services they provide goes beyond that of animal adoptions. People are sometimes unwilling to give/donate to governmental entities and for this reason, the "Friends" of the Johnston County Animal Shelter was established by requests from the community. The "Friends" of the Johnston County Animal Shelter is a non-profit 501(c) organization which uses the funds donated for outreach programs. The outreach programs inables them to provide care and/or services such as emergency food, homes/houses, help with disaster efforts and animal rescues. The outreach program also purchases breathing equipment for animals for our local fire departments so they can care for the animals and not just the humans that suffers from smoke inhalation. I hope this helps to clarify and give more insight as to my why I am helping our animal shelter raise much needed money for their outreach programs. My pet as well as yours may need their assistance one day. We are priveledged to have an animal shelter that can provide these types of services because many other counties are not as priveledged as Johnston County. Once again, thank you for helping me raise funds for the Friends of the Johnston County Animal Shelter.
You could go to the website for the Container Store (they have everything) And one day there maybe one in Charlotte. The best food container that I have found is called a Pet Food Vault, they are awesome. I have seen them at Pet Mania, Pets Super Market and Pet Supplies Plus and of course, there is always the internet.
Payments may be dropped off there as well. Bulldog Express is located next to Food Lion on Glen Road at 40/42. Box # 322.
