New bypass and its traffic on 40

Why in the world didnt they just go ahead and spend a few more million dollars and widen 40. What a nightmare. Even with the few cars merging onto 40 in the morning it has made it worse than before. Some elementary school kid must have came up with the idea. DOT SUCKS in their planning!!!!

 

I've noticed it's been worse in the afternoon, also.

 

Why didn't someone foresee a problem like this and spend a few more dollars to automatically merge multiple threads on the same damn topic into one?
