Hey, I'm new to this board, so this is my first post!

I have 2 car issuses and I was wondering if anyone can reccomend a good mechanic in the area.

1- My sister in law is in college and buying a used car so I wanted to know if anyone knows a place that will check it out and around how much that costs.

2- I need new brakes for my car (Honda) who is good to go to around here for that?

    Thanks so much!

This is located on the road behind McDonald's at 40/210 intersection. Really nice people and have a great amount of experience working on Hondas. I take my Honda there instead of taking it to the Honda dealership to get serviced. They are GREAT!! Highly recommend (an no, I do not work there or own it!!) :)

My husband has been very impressed with the honesty and good work at Carfix which is on the side road down a little from McDonald's at 4042.

  15. I Know a GREAT Mechanic

My son-in-law is a Master Mechanic; owns his business. He charges less than the dealerships; works around your schedule; has great references - does fleet work and privately owned vehicles. Works on all makes/models. He lives very close to 40/42. Very honest and reliable. I can PM you his contact info if interested.

Waynes Auto in Smithfield. He is great and has great prices. He came highly recommended to us by several people and we won't take our cars anywhere else now.

Hught and I agree on something for once. Quality Auto is the best. I have used and recommended them exclusively for 7 or 8 years now.

I recommend TAG very highly, they do great work and have some of the best prices in town.
    Awesome people down there.
Always have fresh coffee and a smile when you walk in the door.
TAG, stands for Technical Automotive Group.
    Go see Bobby-owner, or Ken-Manager.
    Both really great people.

Just do not take it to Lewis Brothers in Clayton. We took it there for brakes and the job was not done right. As it turned out we have no idea what they actually did because it drove the same once we got it back. We took it somewhere else and they replace the brakes pads, and a tire rod. Drives like a brand new car now.
