Anyone else having issues with Roadrunner or TWC right now? And before you point it out, yes, I realize the lunacy of asking that question. (Kind of like saying "raise your hand if you're not here yet") But, I was hoping someone online might have two means of connecting, and be able to verify that I'm not the only one having troubles. Lord knows you can't get a human on the phone there. Just that darn computer woman that doesn't respond to touch tones, and keeps saying "why don't you tell me the problem", like when Kramer was the MovieFone guy...
My RR is fine. Direct TV... now that is another story. Have had problems getting a signal since last night. We got some channels earlier today but now nothing. DH is working to see if we need to reposition the dish. Not to highjack the thread but am wondering if anyone else is having issues with Direct TV.
That's fine, hijack away. Apparently I'm the only one with RR problems. Their online chat is useless. "Your recv/send lights are blinking? Oh, I can't help with that, you'll need to call and wait forever to talk to someone". The DirecTV problems are almost certainly with your setup. If it were something on their end, it would affect everyone (since there's nothing between the satellite and your house to break, unless there's a break in the space-time continuum somewhere near your house). Our Road Runner is working fine also. Have you unplugged it, waited a minute or two and then plugged it back in? That works for me sometimes. When you unplug it you need to shut your computer down and plug the Road Runner item back in before turning your computer back on. When that doesn't work I view my wireless networks on my computer and disconnect my main one and then connect it again so that it can acquire the address again. That's all I can think of on my end. Well, my wife did, yes. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at work until the wee hours, so I can't do my own troublehshooting for several hours. It's a shame, because when computers (and electronics) see me coming, they are suddenly fixed. It's like taking your car to the mechanic. Bring your computer to me, and the problem suddenly stops.
If you haven't fixed the DirecTV problrm yet, try resetting the box: push the little red button in area where the access card is. We have had to do that before. Hope it helps!
