What the french toast?! Something is wrong there! There isn't supposed to be an ADDITIONAL labor charge. The price advertised includes labor.:? At least it did for us. I have heard of paying for the extra oil though.

Had mine done at TAG last Saturday morning. The total including a State Inspection was $49.96. This broke down to $17.99 for the oil change and $30.00 for the State Inspection plus a $.90 supply charge and $1.07 sales tax.

If you read the bottom of their invoice it can get a little confusing because they break everything out. Mine shows labor of $26.76, parts of $21.23, supply chg $.90, Subtotal $48.89, sales tax $1.07 for a total of $49.96

Bobby is the greatest. I asked for a quote on some tires and he was able to beat two others I had got by over $50 per tire. Not only that but when I told him I wasn't sure if they were ready to be changed out quite yet he said he'd check them and let me know. Well, to make a long story short he said I wasn't ready yet. I told him I'd be back as soon as the weather starts to change.

Something sounds fishy here. I would have my bill handy and drop by to get an explanation. JMHO.

The oil that was supposed to go in your car got put into someone else's. They do this all the time. I personally know of 3 cases where they paid to replace blown engines. In one they didn't put any back in, in the other two they put more than double what they should have.

    Go to your trusted mechanic.

:iagree: We also had an inspection and oil change done and our bill was the same as yours.
