come on girls, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is. and besides, if it were true and that easy, then there wouldn't be any of us looking for ways to lose a few pounds.
When we were teens, my sis used to wrap herself in plastic and go lay in the attic - to sweat it off, lol!! We still laugh about that one!
We've been cleaning out the attic at my parents house and even though its sad that our parents are gone now - we've had fun reminiscing over old times and going thru old toys and stuff. 8)
This REALLY worked for my and DH!!! Haven't tried Suddenly Slimmer but I can tell you that South Beach worked for us. I got a rude awakening at my Gyn. visit last November. My blood pressure was through the roof and there were other bad signs too. So much so that she demanded I call my family Dr that day or go to the hospital. Some of it was from family history but extra weight makes it way worse. My Gyn. told me that if I would go and buy either the South Beach book or another one called Sugar Busters, and follow the plan, I could be close to 20lbs lighter by Christmas. I bought the South Beach book and really studied it and DH went on it with me. In phase one (first two weeks) I lost 13lbs and DH lost about 10. To date, I've lost over 40lbs and am still losing in phase two. DH has lost over 30lbs as well. I've thought about going back to phase one to lose alot more in two weeks time too. Oh, and I didn't measure my waist at the start but DH did and he has shaved off about 5" and gone from a 38 pant to a 34. I've dropped several pant sizes too. Still have more to go, but I'm getting there. It really does work. It's not really a diet but more about understanding what causes you to have a fast increase of the amount of sugars in your bloodstream and how to avoid that or even block it with other foods. It's the fast decrease in sugar in your blood after that increase, that makes you have cravings and feel really hungry. Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience. I had heard of SB for a long time but just figured it was another "fad" diet and ignored all the news about it. Wish I'd tried it years ago. I guess I had to get a wake up call to finally take it seriously. Now the whole family eats a much healthier diet. Whatever you decide, best wishes with it and keep us posted!
