Everything I have ever seen in a pawn shop was a heavily used with a "brand new" price tag on it. Check the papers or craigslist.
Carolina Custom Golf in Raleigh is going out of business. The last time I was there they still had some used clubs. I second e-bay. I have found some very good deals there on golf clubs, both new and used.
also Second Swing in Cary Crossroads. it only sells golf clubs - new and used. 2005 walnut street, cary, 27511 852-0424 (haven't been there for a while, so I would call and see if they are still in business) they also have a location at brier creek (so i hear)
Don't know about Brier Creek but the Cary location has been closed for a long time now. Between Golf Galaxy and Golfsmith they couldn't handle the competition. Try Craigslist, there are always some available on there.
