Please say an extra prayer for people I work with who are located in Fargo, ND. Our companies branch in Fargo employs over 100 people, between an IT Dept, Marketing, Accts. Payable & an operational branch. They've been closed since Wednesday (there was a gas leak in the immediate area of the building). Our IT guys are doing an awesome job of still providing support to the company from laptops via a "live chat" feature from their homes. But they need to start worrying about themselves and their families and preparing to evacuate.... this is a note we got from corporate in NJ this morning. The Help Desk services will be greatly reduced today. As Chris mentioned yesterday, use "Live Chat" or email for the best results. If you have a high impact IT issue, call Corporate. Please inform your teams. The Help Desk employees are focusing on the safety of their families, friends, and neighbors as they all deal with the flood. Our Allied colleagues in Fargo are in a crisis situation: - Red River height reached 40.32 feet, topping the record of 40.1 feet set in 1897. - forecasts are for a crest of 43 ft on Saturday - President Obama has declared a federal disaster - many roads are closed and more are closing - mass evacuation plans are in place - hundreds of MN and ND National Guard troops on site I appreciate your support and understanding. Hopefully, services will be fully restored early next week. Please send them your thoughts and prayers.
Well call me later. Shower, gotta go look at a building, then grocery store Tassy, done! That sound awful!
Clyde and Erwin (my 2 pet frogs) are croaking away this morning.... I love listening to them. It's almost like being outside in the summer when it's raining and the tree frogs are singing.....
