This is from recipezaar.com, but a basic recipe that is so delicious.

    Pan Roasted Asparagus

    • 1 lb thin asparagus
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
    • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
    Directions
Trim the bottom inch or two off the asparagus.

    Cut spears in half crosswise.

Heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet.

Add asparagus and the garlic and salt.

Toss well for one to two minutes.

Serve hot or at room temperature.

So yummy! But I also like it just steamed and then spray it with spray butter and salt it.

I take how ever much asparagus I want to eat and snip the bottoms off. Place them in a small glass dish and coat lightly with EVOO, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Put them in the oven on 400 for just a few minutes until they are bright green, tender but crispy.(maybe 7-8minutes?? it doesn't take long). Then when I pull them out, I sprinkle with balsamic vinegar. Yum!
