I have a question for ladies that go to Horizon Family Practice. Do you have all of your "female" type exams done there or do you just have the basic at Horizon and go to a GYN for the other part of the exam? I have always went to a GYN but am considering having the complete exam this year at Horizon. If you don't want to post here, please PM me.
Im not a patient there but, before I got preggers I didnt have an OBGYN and I let my primary care Dr. do mine each time.
I just sent you a PM, but for the record, I believe in letting an ob/gyn take care of all that stuff! They know what they're doing...!
I am a patient at the one here on 42. I love them. i have everything done there, they are very thorough. i know lots of folks say that it is the job of an obgyn, but in all reality who knows you better than your own Dr.? I Love Dr. williams and his nurse Debbie, they are a great team and they have a great sence of humor also. i was very reluctant to have anything like that done because i didnt have a regular gyn so i asked Dr. Wiliams and he said of course we are here to take care of you. I go to Dr. Harris and he has handled all my issues. He was very quick to recommend I got to a OG/GYN when I had a issue that was in need of more then family doctor care. He even did that for my husband when he had a stomach issue. He has such a wonderful bedside manner that my husband have bragged about him to people who live in other states and will never get to see him.
I have mine done at Horizon Family- it's convinent and it kills 2 birds with 1 stone. I get it done at a thyroid check appt.
I see Dr. Harris there and so does my DH and DS. We love him!! Great doctor. I have my own OBGYN, but only because I already had one before I started going to Horizon. I would trust them to do my stuff if I didn't though... Good Luck!!
I use Dr. Watson at the smithfeild office. He has delivered all three of my kids. I go to him for everything as well as my kids. I can't say enough about him.
