Hi everyone! I dont post here often but I have a question that I need honest answers on. My husband and I are about to close on our first house! We are going to move boxes and such, but we need to hire people to move our furniture and esp. our front load washer and dryer as the laundry room is ont he second floor. Does anyone know of any good moving companies in the area? Esp. appreciate anyone who has personal experience with said moving company! Thanks
We've had a great experience with Holloway Moving twice here. http://www.hollowaymoving.com . Both times their estimates were correct and the 2nd time it was actually cheaper than quotes. Be sure to get a quote both as a flat fee and hourly fee then take your pick. We did the hourly fee both times, and the 2nd time they came in under time and docked the fee for us. I was impressed by how quickly they worked-3 men both times, and how careful they were with the furniture and my valuables and big items. Everything was wrapped in blankets or heavy plastic. I also appreciated that they laid down the sticky plastic on the walkways throughout our houses we moved into so not to track in dirt. Cardboard was taped down so not to scratch hardwoods. Good job all around.
DO NOT USE ALL MY SON's MOVING CO. We had a time with their moving guys stealing checks and things of value, Such as my camera and tapes of our daughter when she was little. It was an interstate move, so we had to file reports with the JOCO and get a detective report to get our money back that was stolen with writing checks that drained our accounts. We tried to get to get stuff off their truck after the move at the new home. Well folks they changed the price by weight at the weight in stations ect. I repeat do not use them, check with the credit card company you use on their history with payements made to moving companies and better buisness people for a company to use. And check with the BBB for history on the company you choose. Good luck. I hope your moves is much better than ours was. I am sure you can see how I feel about all my sons moving company. I keep calling the company everytime there commericial comes on and says they will treat your belongs and you like family. Oh my gosh.. forbid that. They are beyond words that I would put on this website about them. I guess while I am at it did anyone use them and get the problems of theft ect from them? I guess you got it by now DO NOT USE ALL MY SONS MOVING COMPANY EVER.
