    For those in pain, all options should be considered. I used to work in the pharmaceutical industry, and part of my portfolio included narcotics. Every pain specialist I knew would say, "Those who need it don't use enough, those who don't use too much."

    Those cancer patients whose pain is uncontrolled, those with terminal illness, those with sever burns...I don't believe that any measure to provide comfort should be off the table.

    Yes, there will be those who don't need, but will use. Still, this shouldn't be a reason to prevent those who need from having.
