I have a 1 year birthday coming up and need some ideas on where to have the party. McDonalds was a thought but not sure. Any suggestions?

From past experience with my other kids I've found that first birthdays are better at home, keeps the little one in a familiar environment, with a nap not too far away if needed, toys to keep them occupied, etc., when is your little one turning one? I have a first birthday coming up too :)

Your house. At this age, the party is really for the attendees, your child will never remember it nor will they use the equip at McDonald's.

You could rent a picnic shelter at a park - Lake Benson is a good one and you can reserve/pay online.

We always had 1st birthdays at the park..... there are all kinds of things to do for all ages there. So that way the older kids won't feel like they are at a "babies" party......

I vote for home, or if you don't want the mess, the park.

    Keep it simple.

She will be 1 Sept 21. I like the park idea. If weather is nice I may do Lake Benson (thanks for the idea) or the park in Smithfield. Pick up pizza and cake and the party is on!! Thanks for the great suggestions:jester:

    bday idea

I heard the best idea from a 1-year old party the other day. The mom had all the other children draw a picture of the 1-year old for him to look at when he got older :)
