A shout out to one of my favorite local websites:

    http://goodnightraleigh.com/

Yes, I realize this is 4042.com, but I suspect some of you may visit Raleigh on occasion...I hear they have a twelve chair barber shop up there too!

I love history and, by association, architechure, which leads (naturally..) to photography. Maybe it doesn't, but it's a fascinating site anyway. If you are a local or just a wanna-bee check this out.

The author/host has lived in and photographed Raleigh since the '60s. If you like secret places and local history nobody else knows (or cares about?) spend a few minutes here.

Fer instance, check out the once-thriving punk rock bar scene under Cameron Village:

...or the steam tunnels under NCSU:

Anyway, I think it's cool and I wanted to pass it on. Thanks!

Saw a good number of those bands. Miss the Bears Den. Even the Silver Bullet (where Goodnights is now) was great. Saturday night and PKM is playing with Maxx Warrior opening for them........great time. Even Music City was a great place.
