Nominations will be open until Next Friday, November 13th. I know that there are a lot of needy families out there, but I'll ask you humbly when you are submitting names, to please try to keep this as local as possible. We can't help everyone, but we like to start with those who are close to home. It would be especially nice if we could help those that are members of our 4042 boards, but if we aren't able to find any 4042'ers that need the help, we'll expand. If you know of a family that will need help with Christmas this year, please submit thier story, and YOUR contact information to me via PM. I will compile all the families and the committee (yes, there is one) will vote on the families we will help this year. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.

Guys this a great opportunity to be thankful for all that you have and think of others who may be going through a rough time right now. No matter how little or how much you have to spare, it is greatly appreciated by these families.
While I do not have any income to help, I can wrap if anyone needs me to. Maybe next year I will be in a better position to help. Thanks for all you do. BCM:hurray:
Count me in! I'll donate what $ I can and I'll help with anything else that needs to be done. I love this time of year! It's so not about US but what we can do to help others. Giving makes me feel good. :hurray: I also have PLENTY of stuff to donate from my coupon stockpile . . . candles, food, paper goods, toothpaste, etc.
I will do what I can, but things are going to be super slim here me not working, trying to fight to keep the house, and everything else. But will try to do something.
If you aren't getting the nominations here perhaps Ron at Basic Needs is aware of some local family's in need. I don't know of any family's in need at this time but I will keep my eyes and ears open.
with our economy the way it is and people getting laid off, i am sure there are quite a few in need but sometimes it is very hard to admit it.
As of right now, we are no longer taking nominations....I know I said till the 13th, but we've already had 4 families (15 kids) nominated. Thank you.
I just want to say this is great what you guys do here every year. I probably won't be able to help, we are actually going to be doing something for the Oxford Orphanage this year; but will definitely keep checking on this thread to see if there is anything I can do to help in any way...you just never know!
