    No problem ;) !
But since I'm missing so many things from Germany at this time of the year, most of all my family, I've got to at least have a tree.
Back when I was growing up we didn't put up our tree until the afternoon on Christmas eve,my dad would close the living room door and decorate the Christmas tree, but we were told that we could not go in because the 'Angels' were decorating it ;) I think it's mostly in an effort to recreate some of that, that I have a tree nowadays. I'm just a nostalgic kind of girl

Sorry this pic is so little. I didn't realize I sized it that small! At least you can notice the lights burned out on the bottom half! I was so mad. We just bought that tree two years ago for over $200. Next year we're getting a real tree.

    Christmas Eve tree

I, too, was raised in the German tradition of the tree being decorated Christmas Eve, by Santa in our little corner of the world, after we returned from the midnight Christmas service. As a child I could never understand why no one wanted to wake up on Christmas morning. When I passed the tradition onto my son, I had a far better understanding! There is nothing more magical for a child than to go to bed with an empty living room and wake up the next day with a fully decorated tree, stuffed stockings, and presents galore!
