And, in a shared pool of auto insurance, our premiums pay for some of their poor choices. Seems like they need a sentence of 14 days with no electronic devices, except perhaps an ankle bracelet.

Well in my opinion that is one stupid parent. He should concentrate on driving and he should not have bought his daughter another car.

    Idiots!

I read that in the paper a few weeks ago and I too thought how stoopid are you :banghead: I really just don't get it! I guess I'm just not one of those people who talks on the phone much anyway - so do even less texting, mostly just to my dd cause she's away at school and it the best way to reach her.

Oprah also had a show about the accidents caused by texting and driving, I didn't see it, but I heard it was pretty upsetting. Seems these was a little girl riding her bike, was almost in her driveway when someone hit and killed her while texting! She's had audience members sign a pledge to have a no phone zone while in the car, no talking or texting!

Its just a need for attention and an attempt to appear as bucking the system.

"Buckley and Tyler Strandberg contacted The News & Observer to come clean about a problem they share with each other - and with a lot of us. They expressed embarrassment but spoke candidly about how they rely on their phones when they drive, and how they try to reduce their risks."

They contacted the paper? That's just weird. Oh, and all I can say about what they said is
